After plotting and embracing revenge in Wilderness, Jenna Coleman is looking to sharpen her detective skills for the BBC’s new crime thriller The Jetty. The four-part series focuses on Coleman’s character, who’s attempting to investigate a missing persons cold case and coming up against a whole host of challenges.

As well as being a detective thriller, The Jetty is also a coming-of-age story – asking questions sparked by the #MeToo movement around sexual morality, identity and memory.

And so, here’s everything to know so far about The Jetty, including when we might expect the series to land on our screens.

**What is the plot of The Jetty?**

According to the BBC synopsis, a fire tears through a holiday home in a small Lancashire town and rookie detective Ember Manning (Coleman) is tasked with working out “how it connects to a podcast journalist investigating a missing persons cold case and an illicit ‘love’ triangle between a man in his 20s and two underage girls. But as Ember gets close to the truth, it threatens to destroy her life – forcing her to re-evaluate everything she thought she knew about her past, present and the town she’s always called home.”

**Who will star in The Jetty?**

Alongside Coleman, Archie Renaux (Shadow And Bone) and Ruby Stokes (Lockwood & Co., Rocks) join The Jetty cast in undisclosed roles.

Making up the rest of the cast are Laura Marcus (The Serpent Queen), Bo Bragason (The Radleys), Amelia Bullmore (Happy Valley), Tom Glynn-Carney (House Of The Dragon), Weruche Opia (I May Destroy You), Matthew McNulty, Ralph Ineson, David Ajala, Nina Barker-Francis, Miya Ocego (I Hate Suzie), Elliot Cowan (Fifteen-Love, The Crown), Shannon Watson, Arthur Hughes and Dominic Coleman.

**When will The Jetty be released?**

With details only revealed recently, there’s no confirmed release date as of yet. But it’s likely The Jetty will be released sometime this year on the BBC.
