Hot on the heels of Adolescence comes The Stolen Girl, a gripping new psychological thriller from Happy Valley producer Nicola Shindler – and it’s all about a child’s sleepover that ends in a terrifying abduction.

The five-part series leaves no stone unturned as Elisa (Denise Gough) does her due diligence. She spends time with Rebecca (Holliday Grainger), the mum of her daughter’s new BFF, before agreeing to an overnight playdate. She’s charmed, in fact, by Rebecca’s easygoing nature and beautiful home. And yet, it’s not enough: when she goes to collect her daughter, Lucia, the next day, it’s revealed that Rebecca’s house was a holiday rental… and everyone has disappeared.
