What is Then You Run about?

An adaptation of Zoran Drvenkar’s novel You, the eight-part miniseries follows a close-knit group of rebellious London teenagers enjoying a getaway in Rotterdam. When one of their dear old dads is discovered dead, though, they are forced to go on the run across Europe with three kilos of heroin and a host of deadly criminals snapping at their heels.

There are awkward romances aplenty, drunken mistake after drunken mistake, an unwanted pregnancy and the ever-looming threat of a particularly hair-raising serial killer known only as The Traveller.

Basically, it’s ideal viewing for anyone who enjoyed A Town Called Malice, The Serpent, and/or Britney Spears’s Crossroads. Which, admit it, is 100% you.

Then You Run centres on the trials and tribulations of Tara (Normal People’s Leah McNamara), Stink (I May Destroy You’s Vivian Oparah), Ruth (Hanna’s Yasmin Monet Prince) and Nessi (newcomer Isidora Fairhurst).
