Critics are already piling praise upon the final season of Top Boy, insisting that its darker, more violent tone (and compelling new characters) makes it a gloriously satisfying end to the show.

We imagine a great deal of that is down to the cast; after all, when the series was renewed in 2022, Walters and Robinson vowed in a joint statement that they would remain faithful to their characters until the very end.

“For those that have followed the journey from the start, you will know how much this show means to everyone on our team, and we wholeheartedly know how much it means to you,” they wrote.
