Prepare for some serious wardrobe envy when this New York docu-movie Advanced Style hits our screens later this year.

For years blogger Ari Seth Cohen documented the stunning outfits worn by an elite section of New York's more mature fashionistas - and now his brainchild is being made into a movie.

Directed by New Yorker Lina Plioplyte, the trailer shows what promises to be a true visual delight as the senior stylistas show off their most outrageous and beautiful fashion items on the streets of the Big Apple, and talk us through their passion. Among them is the 'geriatric starlet' Iris Apfel, who recently launched her own collection for MAC.

The trailer hints at the women's inspiring dedication to, and confidence in, their own style - as well as an encyclopedic knowledge of fashion houses from Rodarte to Versace.

Take a look at the Advanced Style trailer and let us know your thoughts on these mature Manhattanites on Twitter.
