Chung describes it as “a dream come true” to unveil her debut collection at London Fashion Week.

Speaking to the Guardian, she notes that her transition from model to designer now shows that “people are more open-minded about what being a fashion designer means”.

“We are less hung up on provenance,” she says. “If a person wasn’t trained to make a dress, does that put you off the dress? Does it matter, if it’s a beautiful dress and it makes you feel great when you put it on?”

The designer’s SS19 line includes slogan tees and hoodies inspired by the humble holiday postcard, destination prints and an oh-so British rain mac.

Of her transit-inspired theme, she adds: “Airports are such emotionally charged places. I travel a lot, and I people-watch. And I love that British thing of wearing your holiday outfit home but with a sensible jacket because if you are British you are never not thinking about the weather.”
