When pictures emerged of Anne Hathaway’s wedding to Adam Shulman on Sunday, we were blown away by the actress’s beautiful, custom-made dress, designed by Valentino Garavani. Now a sketch has emerged showing the bridal gown in all its details.
The designer, who describes Hathaway as “my daughter”, created a strapless ivory silk point d'esprit tulle dress for the actress, which featured a pink hand-painted shaded train, embroidered with satin flowers. A 1920s-style veil, which complemented her super short pixie crop, consisted of a lace ribbon and a large flower adorned with small crystal beads.
The romantic, fairytale gown was perfectly suited to the nature-inspired wedding, which took place outdoors on a private estate in Big Sur, California, and reportedly featured over £62,000 worth of flowers, an all-vegan menu and a jazz trio serenading 150 guests.
