ASOS fans rejoice, because the online store’s new function is about to make it even easier for you to get your hands on the latest fashions.
The shopping platform has long been praised for its innovative customer service and incredible delivery options.
Or, when lacking outfit-inspiration for an event, the ASOS Insiders shopping edits are like a digital Aladdin’s Cave of the coolest combos you would have never thought to put together.
Now they’ve launched a brand new visual search tool – and we are very excited about it.
That’s right; you can now simply upload a picture of an outfit or item that you like.
It doesn’t matter if you saw it on a blogger, a friend or a celebrity, all you have to do is show the website what you want, and ASOS will either find the exact item for you, or offer similar suggestions.
Not only does this new method save us bags of time, but gone are the days of lusting over something fabulous on Instagram and not knowing where it’s from. Now, not only do you have a strong chance of finding said piece, you can at least own a similar version.
To use the function, first make sure your app is updated and once opened, click into the camera icon on the search bar. From there you will be given the option to upload an image and ASOS will produce up to 100 options that are similar to the outfit you’re looking for.
Rich Jones, head of product and UX at ASOS, told The Sun Online: "It's hugely important for us to be where our customers are.
“We have lots of things in the pipeline that we want to explore. Visual search is just the first step in what we can do to make it easier for customers to find what they are looking for."
So far reactions have been positive from those on Twitter that have already tried out the tool.
One ASOS fan said, “Oh @ASOS your app update is bloody unreal!!!! Scanning everything and everyone this morning!”
Another tweeted, “The @ASOS update is absolutely amazing! You can upload a photo to search for items on the app - love it!”
The tool is only available on the IOS app at the moment, but the retailer has promised that it will roll out to Android soon.
We didn’t need another reason to indulge ourselves in an ASOS shopping spree, but we’ll take it.
