Even when skies are grey, it helps to have a positive attitude, and nothing says summer quite like this vibrant dress from Australian brand Alemais. Founded in 2020 by Lesleigh Jermanus, you can see how her designs draw on her Lebanese heritage with optimistic prints and colours that make you think of nature. For me, the tailored waist, broad shape across the bust and puff sleeves nicely accentuated my hourglass silhouette; I picked out a size 14 and it was a great fit.

For comfortable flats that you can wear all day, Balzac Paris’s silver Terence sandals are crafted from soft leather and let your feet breathe. I also loved the contrast of warm tones throughout the dress’s design and the cool sheen of silver. While 70s styling would look amazing with this dress, I’m partial to cottagecore, and leaned into the (slightly impractical) basket trend for my handbag. While mine is vintage, Straw London, Rouje and Rixo all offer nice styles. Finally, speaking of summer, my scent for this season is Jo Loves’s With Love From Positano, which at 100ml just fits into your cabin luggage.
