Go for grunge this season
Every day there seems to be a new designer collaboration on offer: a way of mixing up old favourites and bringing something new to shoppers and fashion fans alike. And whilst we have enjoyed some pretty epic designer collaborations this year - Off-White x Nike, H&M x Moschino, Topshop x Halpern, Warehouse x Ashish - there is a common theme of super high-end designer and a high street brand.
It is rare for two designers to come together and collaborate on something, which is why when British heavyweight Burberry announced earlier in the year that they were going to team up with icon and activist Vivienne Westwood on a special collection, fashion ears pricked up all over the world.
We always knew we were in for big things from Burberry this year with the brand having a huge overhaul: new creative director, new logo and a new look. And the highly anticipated collection - a mash-up of two megastars - did not disappoint, mixing together the heritage and aesthetics of both brands.
The 13-piece limited-edition collection which comprises of iconic pieces from Vivienne Westwood’s legendary archive reminagined in vintage Burberry check. Sales from the collection will be in support of Cool Earth, a non-profit organisation. Get in there quick we predict a sell out (and we need that beret).
