Welcome to the 70th Cannes Film Festival: the red carpet is rolled out, the champagne is chilling on ice and one of the world’s most spectacular events is finally underway.

A global celebration of all that is good in film, from writing and producing to directing and acting, the festival sees the stars of the silver screen descend on the French Riviera for 11 days of screenings, photo calls and interviews.

And, of course, there just so happens to be a healthy smattering of fashion thrown into the mix for good measure.
