Whether you’re looking for inspiration or are on the hunt to treat yourself, we’ve found the cosiest (and most stylish) pyjamas out there (and they’re not just for Christmas).

December is a month for indulging in festive treats, binge-watching Christmas films on Netflix and having many, many cosy nights in.

But, to maximise those feelings of cosiness, slipping on a set of new PJs is absolutely essential.

From Desmond & Dempsey’s playful pyjamas, to a classic stripey set from H&M, picking a pair you love couldn’t be easier this year. And what could be a better item to gift to a loved one (or yourself) come Christmas Day than a pair of comfy pyjamas, eh?

Peruse our list below of the best picks out there. Happy shopping.

  • Desmond and Dempsey

Pyjamas don’t get prettier than this illustrated set from Desmond & Dempsey, which the brand have dubbed their “most playful yet.”

We love the muted tones of the La Vida print and the soft, breathable 100% cotton it’s been crafted from.

    £120, Desmond & Dempsey

  • Liberty London

This dark, swirling print is perfect for your winter nighttime wardrobe and the silky fabric feels deliciously soft to snuggle up to.

We particularly like touches like the Peter pan collar and shell buttons, which give the set a bit of extra flair.

    £350, Liberty London

  • Bluebella

These cranberry-coloured long pyjamas is almost too beautiful to wear to bed, so we wouldn’t judge you if you decided not to relegate it to the bedroom.

With a cross over neckline and a silky waist-tie, it makes lounging around your apartment suddenly feel rather glamorous, especially when you learn this set was inspired by the elegance of the 1920s.

    £44, Bluebella

  • Monki

Although we certainly have a love of chic nightwear, there’s a special place in our hearts for this novelty set from Monki.

While the shorts sit pretty snugly, the t-shirt is an over-sized fit, which sounds like the perfect combination for maximum comfort.

    £25, Monki

  • Sleeper

We dare you to find a more fabulous nightwear set than this feather-trimmed Sleeper ensemble.

Cut from breathable crepe de chine, it includes a relaxed-fit top and wide-leg trousers, which the brand recommend pairing with some heels and a coat for your next Christmas party.

    £245, Sleeper

  • Love Stories

It might not quite be holly green, but this sweet set is perfect for the holidays thanks to its cute embroidered slogan and delicate star motif.

Cut from luxurious silk, team it with some cashmere socks and spend the evening feel chic and cosy.

    £153, Love Stories

  • H&M

You really can’t go wrong with a striped set of pyjamas, especially when they’re in this calming hue of pastel blue.

Made from 100% cotton, both the top and bottoms have a relaxed fit with the latter also having an elasticated waistband to make wearing them all the more comfy. Exactly what we need after scoffing festive treats.

    £19.99, H&M
