Mickey Mouse is 90 years old – and he’s celebrating in impeccable style

Disney has enlisted an impressive slew of brands to celebrate the world’s most famous mouse.
This weekend marks the 90th anniversary of Walt Disney’s Mickey Mouse. As in, yes, the animated mouse that has entertained hundreds of millions of viewers around the world (and inspired five theme parks).
It’s quite the milestone, as we’re sure you’ll agree, and he’s celebrating in impeccable style. A roster of fashion brands, from the high end by way of Opening Ceremony, Rag & Bone (and Christopher Kane – though the label’s Mickey tee has already sold out) to the high street, have created commemorative designs to mark the iconic mouse’s big 9-0. Designs range from the wonderfully kitsch (see Vans’ sneakers) to the delightfully discreet (Nixon’s watch is irreverent and fun) so there really is something for everyone. Much of Levi’s collaboration has sold out, as has Rag & Bone’s unisex offerings, confirming that nine decades has done nothing to dampen the mouse’s popularity.
