Shiny, happy vibes are coming our way thanks to a fresh new collaboration between NARS make-up and Glaswegian designer Christopher Kane.

Kane, widely credited for reviving the London fashion scene with his progressive approach, is teaming up with NARS for the second time on a limited edition Chrome Couture collection.

The delectable range features an iridescent lipstick in baby pink (£23) and a prismatic eyeshadow palette (£34) that draws from Kane’s signature high-shine finish.

His AW17 show featured feminine silhouettes laced with silky pearl-like notes, sequinned embellishments and lustrous sheen.

High shine, high fashion: Christopher Kane's AW17 collection

Kane’s latest makeup project with Nars will launch next Monday directly after the finale of his SS18 show at London Fashion Week.

Given the furore over their last collaboration – 2015’s Neoneutral edit featured neon disco shades and sparked a social media frenzy – we fully expect Chrome Couture to fly off the shelves.

Kane and makeup guru Francois Nars have a shared love of the unconventional, and both are prepared to take risks when it comes to creating a bold new look.

NARS has previously worked with actress Charlotte Gainsbourg and fashion illustrator Konstantin Kakanias on special editions, while Kane has teamed up with Topshop and J Brand in the past.

The designer – who works in tandem with his sister Tammy - sent the fashion industry spinning with his debut show in 2006, where his body-con aesthetic won him legions of fans including Donatella Versace.

His shows continue to be hotly anticipated, and he’s famed for strong, feminine looks that ooze attitude and often reinvent materials and prints that have previously been dismissed.

The Chrome Couture collection will be available at the NARS London Boutique in Covent Garden and on narscosmetics.co.uk from Monday 18 September. Join the wait list (going live on Thursday afternoon) here.
