Ice-cream fans, rejoice.
Gelato hues are having a moment on the SS18 catwalk, with a prism of mouth-watering pastels taking Fashion Week by storm.
We saw an early hint of the trend with a lavender-blue design at Calvin Klein’s NYFW outing. Then Victoria Beckham went to town on the dreamy motif, with a deluge of deliciously light and ethereal shades for spring 2018.
“Delicacy can be strong,” the British designer explained. "They're ice cream colours but it's not too sweet or saccharine."
Over at Helmut Lang, Shayne Oliver added his own singular twist to the ice-cream theme, giving dusky pink a tough, fetish edge. Gelato colours were also in evidence on the runways at Calvin Luo and Eckhaus Latta.
From duck-egg blue to lilac and pistachio, come get your fix of Fashion Week gelato and get set to craft your very own ice-cream wardrobe...
