The five pit stops you need to make on a trip to NYC.

Stylist Beauty Editor Sam Flowers is reporting on the SS15 beauty trends, insider gossip and expert tips from backstage at New York Fashion Week

Must dine:

Catch (21 9th Ave)

Despite the fact I was hideously jetlagged when I went here and practically fell asleep at the table, the meal was one of the best I've had (crispy shrimp and mahi mahi tacos to start followed by sautéed snapper with lobster mash - yum!) Not just for fish lovers, the steak on the table next to me looked delish. Oh, and the bread basket; pretzel bread with honey and mustard butter? Worth going just for that. Heaven.

Must breakfast:

The Standard Grill (848 Washington Street)

A pretty obvious choice for Fashion Week but it really is the best people-watching spot. If you like your eggs Instagram-worthy then it's a must - my coffee came with a teddy bear stencilled in the foam and the salt and pepper pots come in the form of kissing dogs. Be warned, though, breakfast finishes at 11.30am and there are no eggs on the brunch menu.

Must sushi:

Blue Ribbon Sushi (119 Sullivan Street)

One of the best sushi spots in town. Nothing fancy shmancy about this joint (where I've spied off-duty models having lunch) just really great spicy tuna rolls, yellowtail sashimi and seaweed salad. I love it for a quick lunch.

Must juice:

Organic Avenue (branches all over NYC)

When I need a pick up during Fashion Week, I head here. Make-up artist Gucci Westman introduced me to the juice chain last year and I can't get enough. As well as yummy, healthy food (imagine if Pret served kale salad and chia seed pudding) the cold-pressed juice selection is insane. I always take the Ginger Shot home to mix with hot water to perk me up.

Must mani:

Paintbox Nails (17 Crosby Street)

The newest nail bar on the scene is the brainchild of an ex-beauty ed and a celeb manicurist. With a look book of 20-plus nail art designs that change with the seasons, a curated selection of shades from every brand and champagne on tap, the best bit is the MANI CAM!!! It posts your freshly painted nails straight to Instagram! #cool

How will you be wearing your eyeliner next season? Will culottes make another appearance on the catwalk? What do models dine on backstage? Stylist's fashion and beauty teams will have the answers to these questions and more at as they report live from the shows in New York, London, Milan and Paris.
