Forget the stereotypical supermodel fare of coffee and cigarettes - Cara Delevingne couldn't wait to sample the local pizza in Milan ahead of her turn on the Fendi catwalk today.
Backstage at the show, with a full face of make-up and her hair half done, the 22-year-old Londoner put getting ready on pause in order to collect her takeaway margherita order.
Standing amid a flurry of models, make-up artists, hairdressers and security staff, she excitedly tucked into the heavy lunch and despite the pizza's substantial size, seemed to be the only fashionista interested in breaking off a slice.
Post-pizza and catwalk-ready, she was seen schmoozing with Karl Lagerfeld before hitting the runway.
FENDI SHOW REPORT
Sightings of her have been rare on the runway this season but Cara opened the show at Fendi in Milan this afternoon and was followed down the runway by Georgia May, Sam Rollinson, Joan Smalls, Binx Walton and Malaika Firth,
Leather mini skirts with 3D floral cut-out detail accompanied more botanical prints, while futuristic cat-eye sunglasses also made an appearance at the show.
Although there were some very girly, pastel looks, the main collection was less-so; summer leather with cut-out detail featured heavily, as did suede. Sporty joggers and pleats worked well alongside boxy, short-sleeved shirts and pretty make-up balanced the overall look nicely.
Denim also made a showing - as it did at Gucci, Emporio Armani, Fendi & at Alberta Feretti - unusual for the city that many associate with formalwear and polished eveningwear. By Kitty McGee, Stylist's Executive Fashion Editor
