Published

London Fashion Week has decamped to Brewer Street Car Park in Soho, bringing with it a plethora of new dining options for the fashion crowd - and those who want to gawp at them.

Bookatable has revealed the 10 most stylish drink and dining hangouts in order of strutting distance from the runway...

  • Mele e Pere - 1 minutes walk from the runway

A trendy Soho trattoria, Mele e Pere offers authentic Italian gastronomy in a seriously on-trend setting.

Retro Anglepoise wall lamps and an apothecary-style bar lend an old-school vibe and it has a prime location next to the BFC, so perfect for rubbing shoulders with the fashion crowds.

  • Brasserie Zédel - 2 minutes walk from the runway

Championed as the ‘the only real brasserie in London’ by French culinary master Pierre Koffmann, Brasserie Zédel is a Parisian gem that could be plucked straight from the 1920s.

Smooth marble, mosaic tiling and rich wood panelling are dotted throughout the opulent surroundings and for the French editors dreaming of Paris Fashion Week, it’s a home away from home.

  • MASH - 2 minutes walk from the runway

Award-winning MASH is a trendy steakhouse with a Danish twist, sitting right on Brewer Street.

While models may not be renowned for their steak-eating habits, the slick, open-plan basement with booth seating is a place to be seen and a people-watching dream.

  • Hotel Café Royal - 3 minutes walk from the runway

Oscar Wilde used to prop up the bar at Hotel Café Royal, which provides a more high-end option to debrief the catwalk looks over a London-themed afternoon tea.

Gentlemen note, jackets are not optional.

  • No. 20 Restaurant - 4 minutes walk from the runway

A glossy lacquered bar swathed in bronze leather and glass-clad pillars, No.20 Restaurant @ Sanctum Soho Hotel offers timeless vintage glamour and is the kind of place where the fash pack phones ahead to reserve a booth.

Named Hotel of the Year in the London Lifestyle Awards for three years in a row, it's the kind of place to enjoy a micro-distilled gin or craft beer as you discuss the latest trends.

  • Hawksmoor Air Street - 5 minutes walk from the runway

Renowned as one of the best steak joints in London, Hawksmoor Air Street has now added seafood to its renowned menu - and it's just a few catwalk strides away from Brewer Street.

  • Veeraswamy - 6 minutes walk from the runway

Veeraswamy Indian restaurant weaves an exotic spell of timeless glamour with a luxurious venue fit for the Maharaja.

Opened in 1926, it's the UK’s oldest surviving Indian restaurant and has served regional classic and contemporary Indian dishes to dignitaries and celebrities alike, so don't be surprised if Cara, Kendall and co. pop along.

  • Aubaine – 6 minutes walk from the runway

    Models eat cake too. Sometimes.

And when they do, Aubaine Heddon Street in London is a haven of calm from nearby Regent Street and the bustling backstage action at the shows.

On-site bakers craft fresh bread and pastries in a rustic setting, while the bar serves champagne cocktails and specialist French wines.

  • Heddon Street Kitchen - 6 minutes walk from the runway

An edgy hideaway found just off Regent Street, Gordon Ramsay's Heddon Street Kitchen is set over two floors and offers an al fresco terrace, so expect to see plenty of model types hogging the patio heaters.

The venue has also put together a special limited additional Fashion and Design menu for London Fashion Week.

  • Picture - 14 minutes walk from the runway

Yes, it's a little further than the rest, but bear in mind Picture, in the heart of fancy Fitzrovia, was awarded a 2014 Bib Gourmand for exceptional value for money by the Michelin Guide.

Its tantalising small plates and inventive cocktails are also ideal Fashion Week fare.
