  • Mary Katrantzou for the Design Museum

    The princess of print, Mary Katrantzou, created the Design Museum's Christmas tree this year, a 2D 3 metre design on the museum's outer wall, using a pattern from the designer's Autumn/Winter 2012 collection. Mary Katrantzou said of the design:

    "The print was inspired by formal gardens and artful box parterres, these were layered and overlaid to create an intricate maze-like print reminiscent of a hand embroidered lace motif"

  • Nicholas Kirkwood for the Brown's Hotel

    Shoe designer Nicholas Kirkwood has decorated the Brown’s Christmas tree with traditional Christmas decorations, re-worked into decorative pairs of his avant-garde heels. He said he was inspired “to see the mix of traditional elements with modern local art and design".

    The Christmas tree at French department store Galeries Lafayette was decorated with extra large Swarovski crystals.
