The weather might still be hit and miss, but we’re getting in the holiday mood with these new-season pieces…
Wearing a floral dress to a social occasion… what a concept.
If there’s anything guaranteed to put a spring in our step, it’s a pretty floral pattern, and this year more than any other, we’re fully prepared to lean into some extra-colourful prints.
So far, spring has been a bit of a washout, but with warmer weather (hopefully) around the corner, here are the summery dresses heading straight to the top of our shopping list…
1. The wrap dress
Arguably the most flattering silhouette out there, a wrap dress should be top of your summer wardrobe priorities.
This frilly-hemmed number looks great on its own, but is easily layered up if the weather takes a turn for the worse.
2. The midi dress
Bright blue vibes to get you channelling the clear skies and ocean views of that summer getaway that may or may not be happening.
Exactly the kind of light, floaty dress to pack if you’re having a gamble on a city break.
3. The tea dress
Pairing a tea dress with chunky trainers and a denim jacket for when it gets cooler in the evening? Instant summer style.
We’re big fans of the short puff sleeves on this Mix/Primrose Park dress, which also uses fabric made from recycled wood pulp for added eco-credentials.
4. The belted dress
Floral print, but make it monochrome.
If all-out colour isn’t your thing, this belted dress is a chic way to adapt the look for a more minimal aesthetic.
5. The prairie dress
If you thought cottagecore was a passing phase, the ongoing popularity of the prairie dress should tell you otherwise.
Mix/Alice Archer’s signature watercolour florals bring this one to life, with a diamond shirred bodice cranking up the glam.
6. The statement dress
If you want to go really bold, this almost tie-die effect midi is the way to go.
Flowing lightweight fabric and a delicate v-neckline make this a guaranteed picnic showstopper.
