It was the talking point of Moschino’s Milan Fashion Week show.
Gigi Hadid transformed the Moschino runway into a wedding aisle at Milan Fashion Week – and she made jaws drop in the process.
The supermodel donned a short and voluminous gown from the Moschino Bride collection, which she styled with heels and an elaborate veil.
However, it was the score of paper butterflies fluttering in the air behind her and carrying her veil that really got people talking.
Check it out:
Hadid has since shared a video of her walk down the Moschino catwalk via her personal Instagram feeds, and it offers a closer look at that magical moment.
And, as it turns out, there is a very logical (albeit incredibly creative) explanation for all those butterflies.
Take a look for yourself and see if you can spot the secret:
That’s right: there is, in fact, a series of puppeteers (clad in black bodysuits) trailing in her wake, and it is they who are parading the incredible veil and butterfly contraption down the runway.
Captioning the footage, Hadid summed up everyone’s feelings when she wrote (in full block capitals): “WOW @ITSJEREMYSCOTT, WHAT A MOMENT.”
Hadid went on to pour her love onto creative director Jeremy Scott, praising his innovative mind and incredible artistic vision.
She wrote: “To my amazing friend J, I feel so grateful and honoured any time I get to be a part of your creative vision. Every season one of my greatest highlights is getting to learn about your newest story, inspiration, and process.
“I love your fearlessness, YOUR MIND. When I think you could never be more fun and creative, you do it again.”
Hadid added: “Thank you so much for letting me close this amazing show tonight !!!!! I love you & @carlynecerfdedudzeele @samuel_ellis @pg_dmcasting@paulhanlonhair @tompecheux and my whole MOSCHINO family so much! BRAVO.”
