Want to keep your video-call ensembles fresh, without trashing the planet? Here are the ethically-made outfits to shop for a thoroughly green makeover…

If you’re anything like us, you’re probably finding yourself doing a lot more online shopping than usual.

It’s definitely our chosen way of fending off the cabin fever, but it’s still important not to fall down a fast fashion rabbit hole and ruin your eco-credentials.

So if you’re looking to scratch your retail itch more responsibly, it’s time to check out the new Joyful #EcoAware collection from high street heroes Reserved, which is taking sustainable dressing to the next level.

We’re particularly excited about the range of sustainable materials on display - think recycled cotton, viscose made from eucalyptus, beech and spruce wood, delicate cellulose fibres and soft, hypoallergenic yarns made from wood pulp.

Basically, it’s extremely sciencey stuff that feels uber-comfortable and doesn’t leave a horrible great footprint in your wake.

Not only that, but the range also scores big on style and wearability too thanks to a host of trend-led pieces, from transparent coats to balloon sleeve dresses and worker jumpsuits.

Here are four outfits from the new range to keep your green credentials tip-top, without sacrificing on style…

  • 1. Utility chic

Given the post-apocalyptic vibes of the current climate, this utility-led look feels particularly of the moment.

This recycled polyester parka is packing strong end-of-the-world energy - elevate it with a pop of vibrant colour from this neon lime shirt.

It’s made from ingenious plant fibres that aren’t only biodegradable, but are also lovely and gentle on your skin.

Add a matching trapeze skirt in the same material to complete the look.

  • 2. A statement accessory

Doesn’t this relaxed mint green parka just sing springtime?

Its transparent organza fabric (made from 100% recycled polyester), wide sleeves and drawstring waist make it a surefire statement piece for your next thirty-second dash to the shops.

Layer over this white denim worker-style jumpsuit and pair with your best trainers or chunky boots, then finish off the outfit with this sci-fi-inspired handbag.

Also made from recycled polyester, it’s a guaranteed compliment-magnet.

  • 3. Front-room formal

You’ve got a 10am Zoom catch-up with your team, and your boss is due to make an appearance.

This classic straight-cut blazer screams professionalism, while the matching shorts allow you some sneaky off-camera comfort.

They’re both made from recycled polyester which is quick-drying and durable, and also doesn’t get baggy after washing.

Pair with this purple tee for a pleasingly pastel-hued ensemble.

  • 4. White denim winner

This white, boxy denim jacket has all the hallmarks of a wardrobe essential with its cropped cut, puff sleeves and practical front pockets.

It’s made of cotton that’s been recycled from a mix of second hand clothes and production waste, as are these similarly cool white balloon jeans.

The fabric is super breathable and skin-friendly, so you’ll feel comfy as well as put-together in this ensemble.

Break up the white-on-white by adding in a pop of pastel with this lilac, cropped rib knit top made of a recycled polyester blend.
