For die-hard Harry Potter fans, these are tough times.
We’ve read all of the books a hundred times over (and ditto to the films), watched the films, seen the hit West End play, gorged ourselves on Harry Potter-themed tea and tried out all of the wizard and witch-friendly activities in London and beyond.
As J.K Rowling isn’t planning on writing any new books about Harry and the gang, though, it can be hard for us Potterheads to get our Dark Arts kick. Which is why we are so excited that Vans (aka one our favourite footwear brands) is conjuring up something special for their new collection.
In a cryptic tweet, Vans has dropped a huge hint about their their plans for a magical new Harry Potter-themed range, which suggests they will be potentially be releasing four designs for each of the different houses.
So far, all the website says is: “Vans and HARRY POTTER collaborated to conjure up a magical collection of footwear, apparel, and accessories for witches, wizards, and muggles alike.” Which presumably means that, yes, we’ll be able to don mystical threads from head-to-toe if we so please.
The site’s Harry Potter dedicated page is split into four swirling patterns, each of which is dedicated to the Hufflepuff, Slyhterin, Gryffindor and Ravenclaw houses, albeit in a muted version of their individual colour palettes.
Despite the current lack of details, Twitter is already alight with high hopes for the range with fans posting a brilliant selection of memes – and the Vans US Twitter account is getting in on the action to.
One fan, for example, queried: “When will these be available so I can buy all of them?”
To which the Vans Twitter account replied: “No spell will make us spill that secret early. Make sure to head to http://vans.com/harrypotter to sign up for updates.”
Another said: “Please tell me there’s some ravenclaw vans.”
But Vans are being careful not to give anything away, responding: “Maaaaybe… but you’ll have to wait and see.”
While others simply relied on some of their favourite scenes from the films to show their approval of the collab…
Although details are thin on the ground at the moment, the official Twitter account encourages those interested to sign up for updates here.
What a fashionable time it is to be a witch, eh?
