Harry Styles + Gucci + chicken + chip shop + puppies = pure joy
Harry Styles does what Harry Styles wants. He ditched the tweeny-pop of One Direction and took on a rockier, more mature sound for his first solo endeavour. His first acting role was in gritty, Oscar-winning Dunkirk (as opposed to a predictable heart-throb role), and his ‘look’ has never followed the crowd, instead opting for outfits that push the boundaries of fashion.
So it comes as no surprise that the king of boundary-pushing-fashion, Gucci, want Harry as their leading man. The Italian brand has teamed up with the 24-year-old singer - who has already been wearing Gucci on his tour - in a series of images that are too kitsch to handle.
Gucci broke the news of Harry being the face of Gucci men’s tailoring on Instagram (is there anywhere else to break news?) where Harry is seen nonchalantly holding a chicken in a suburban chip shop, notably kitted out in a velvet brocade blazer and teasing puppies with chips and in a sharp three-piece suit. Casual.
Smart move, Gucci, these might be the most regrammed fashion images of the year.
