Here's how to nail the disco trend

Get ready to get your groove on - disco is still very much a trend and here’s how you can rock it…

In a lot of ways, the 70s were a simpler time. Fashion was truly fun - the whackier the outfit the better, beauty was an utter riot of colour and texture, with some utterly iconic looks.

Before ‘The Rachel’ - it was all about ‘The Farah Fawcett’.

Earth, Wind & Fire and Diana Ross were topping the charts, so happy tunes were blasting from the radio all the time, and things were generally pretty peachy.

The thread that ties them all together? D-I-S-C-O, baby.

Disco is more than just music, more than just a place you go. It’s a state of mind. And it’s been all over the catwalk trends for the last year or so, both in beauty and fashion.

And as we edge closer to darker boogie nights and into the festive season we don’t think glitter, sequins and full-on vibes will be going anywhere.

We’re pretty happy about that thanks to Reserved’s new groove-inspired collection and a cracking fashion video featuring Joanna Kulig and Jeanne Damas:

Fashion-wise, we’re not saying you need to dive into the deep end. There’s lots of cool, modern ways to add some disco swag to your look.

Reserved’s new a/w 18 collection channels the best of the boogie into some seriously wearable pieces.

There’s 70s-inspired wrap dresses (a winner both on and off the dancefloor) that we’ve got our eye on, plus some bold prints to add a little flair to your workwear wardrobe.

Textures and fabrics are all onto a winner, too. We love the pleats, corduroy and mesh elements woven into the collection to add something of a layered twist.

Be sure to head in store to Reserved on Thursday 6 September for a birthday surprise at their Oxford Street store, and shop the range for all your A/W fashion needs.
