It’s not just designer trends that are spotted on the FROW – these are the high street buys the street style set have been wearing during fashion month.
If you work in fashion, the lead up and actual event of fashion month can be a bit manic. If you don’t, you may have just seen countless outfit snaps on Instagram that look too damn fancy to even tap for tags. However, our fashion team (in the midst of New York, London, Milan and soon to be Paris shows) have spotted one particular trend doing the rounds at the cities: leather. And not just any old leather, either: this autumn, it’s all about adding that glossy finish to any outfit, so there has also been faux iterations and vinyl thrown into the very chic mix.
We know what you’re thinking – great, another designer trend that’ll take a credit card application to obtain. But prepare to breathe a sigh of relief, because these leather numbers are all from the high street.
That’s right: think Zara’s faux leather £49.99 dress, not to mention Topshop’s vinyl trench coat that’s bound to sell out. Add to this the Mango Western boots that have already sold out (they’re about to be restocked, FYI), and you get a very stylish set of high street items that can go straight from the front row at fashion month to your wardrobe.
