We all know that fashion trends almost always come back around: it’s why so many of us hold onto our favourite finds, hoping that, one day, those skin-tight jeans, kitten heels and capri pants will become cool again – and the latter two are flying off of the shelves right now. One clothing trend that continually creeps back in is leopard print, so much so that I’m not entirely convinced that our love for it ever went away.

Today, however, the leopard print look has certainly shifted from the skin-tight one-piece or corset and mini skirt Spice Girl days. Instead, we’re searching for more modern silhouettes – think carpenter jeans and A-line midi skirts – looser-fitting layers and often well-worn, washed-out colour palettes that make even brand-new buys look instantly well-loved.

The result: an effortless ‘cool girl’ aesthetic that wouldn’t look out of place on any Pinterest board or Instagram feed. Bonus points if your leopard print look also taps into another trend – feminine blouses, red pumps and wide-leg trousers all pair perfectly.
