Dolce and Gabbana made waves earlier this month when they implied that they don't take the former Spice Girl seriously as a fashion designer.

"She's a friend. She make a good job but... for us, she don't make the same way like a fashion designer," Stefano Gabbana said.

Of course, that sort of thinking is exactly why Beckham isn't quick to credit her fame for paving her way into fashion.

"I think that as much as one might say, 'it has helped,' I’m not so sure," she told BoF. "I’ve had to overcome lots of preconceptions, and that’s okay."
