For anyone fashion obsessed, a scroll through Instagram is an endless source of inspiration from brands and bloggers. But it's always been a frustration for users that there's no shopping function within the app. Until now.
Previously users have had to use tagging or a caption with links in order to enable their followers to find pieces online. But now, there's finally a tap-to-shop function.

It is only available to limited partners in the US on iOS at the moment, but if rolled out in a wider sense it could change the way we shop entirely, bridging the gap between our online shopping habit and compulsion for Instagram style stalking.
20 partners have been chosen for the trail, including J. Crew and Kate Spade, enabling them to tag up to five items in a post. Users can then click directly on the product to get details and if they want to purchase it you'll be redirected to the partner's website.
"The behaviour is already there," says Jim Squires, Instagram's market operations director. "The idea is to just make it easier to go through those steps and have a nicer experience with products on the platform."
It's great news for style infleuncers and shoppers alike. Though maybe not such great news for our bank balance.
