Following appearances at the Venice Film Festival and the VMAs, JLo has made another red carpet splash. And this time it’s cooler than ever.
Indeed, the star arrived to the event wearing head-to-toe Ralph Lauren, an ensemble that comprised a fur bolero, a leather choker, a 00s-inspired dress and, of course, a cowboy hat.
Yet far from being the first sartorial statement JLo’s made in recent weeks, the multi-hyphenate has instead been embracing the return of the red carpet with open arms.
There was her 2021 red carpet debut with Ben Affleck at the Venice Film Festival, last night’s leather two-piece at the VMAs and, of course, tonight’s rodeo-inspired look, which unsurprisingly was in keeping with the theme of the event: In America: A Lexicon of Fashion.
Elsewhere at the Met Gala, there was Tracee Ellis Ross and Amanda Gorman in cobalt blue ensembles (Balenciaga Couture and Vera Wang, respectively) and a championing of American fashion talent, including Sergio Hudson and Christopher John Rogers.
