JW Anderson and Uniqlo have teamed up for their fourth collaboration, and it might be their best one yet.

There are high street collaborations aplenty, with everyone from Topshop to H&M offering up designer garms at affordable prices. But there is one collaboration in particular that sets the hearts of fashion editors and industry insiders alight: JW Anderson x Uniqlo.

Having long held the title of London’s golden boy (despite being from North Ireland), Jonathan Anderson is the throne bearer and creative director for both his eponymous label JW Anderson and Spanish luxury powerhouse, Loewe.

In 2017 the designer came together with Uniqlo (the high street home of elevated basics) and fashion insiders have been rejoicing ever since. Taking his established aesthetic and love of craftsmanship, this unique pairing keep coming back with bigger and better creations time after time.

For autumn/winter 2019, Anderson ventured to the Cornish coast – St Ives in particular – to take inspiration from the Great British outdoors. The collection includes a variety of outerwear from colourful puffer coats (we have got our eye on the camel and orange number), a plaid waterproof parka, and nostalgic fleece jackets, as well as scarf-like kilt skirts, corduroy trousers and Fair Aisles knits. These are truly clothes to hunker down and embrace winter with.

There are also elements to the collection that Anderson has not explored before like the introduction of leggings and activewear tops. “My dad was a rugby player and I was so used to seeing him in activewear but it wasn’t something I had ever incorporated into my collections before.” So whether you’re in the market for an updated classic, a designer spin on activewear or wanting to add a pop of colour into your winter wardrobe, we’ve rounded up the five must-have pieces from the collaboration.
