She went on to star in a Calvin Klein campaign with Mark Wahlberg – known as his rapper alias MarkyMark at the time - and worked with acclaimed American photographer Steven Meisel. But she didn't let the high-flying life of a model in New York take the Croydon girl out of her.

“They would start sending limos for me and I’d be like (pulls a face) 'that is so embarrassing, I’m not getting into a stretch limo by myself to go to a shoot.’”

“I was wearing trainers and a f****** ripped Margiela skirt. You know...grunge. I was like 'This does not feel right at all,’” she adds. “Nobody gets in a stretch anymore. But then it was like you took a stretch everywhere.”
