Kate Winslet’s life and style in pictures

While Kate Winslet began acting with roles in Casualty (of course), and sitcom Get Back, she got her first big break in 1993 with the role of Juliet Hulme, in the Peter Jackson directed Heavenly Creatures.

Winning the part over 175 other girls, she received critical acclaim for her performance, and even won an Empire Award and a London Film Critics' Circle Award for British Actress of the Year.

Those first awards were just the beginning. Over the past 20 years, Kate has be nominated six times for an Oscar, and won once. She's been nominated 10 times for the Golden Globes, of which she's won three. She's also won two BAFTAs and has been nominated seven times. And that's just some of the biggies - there are plenty of other prestigious awards she's also won.

It's remarkable then that Kate has even had time for a personal life. In fact, she's been married three times, her current husband, Ned Rocknroll, is the nephew of Sir Richard Branson, and she's just given birth to her third child, Bear Blaze.

Did we also mention that as well as her undeniable talent she's utterly beautiful yet somehow manages to make us want to be her best mate? She's also great friends with Leonardo DiCaprio (so jealous), after working with him in both Titanic and Revolutionary Road. Here, we've charted some of the best moments throughout her career.
