Since her breakthrough role in Bend it Like Beckham, Keira Knightley has become one of Britain's biggest actresses, starring alongside Johnny Depp in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise and earning critical acclaim for her portrayal as Elizabeth Bennet in Pride & Prejudice.
However, Knightley, 30, has also become a style icon in her own right. The green silk gown she wore in Atonement sparked a rush of copycat dresses, she became the face of Chanel's Coco Mademoiselle and the Chanel 'silhouette' dresses she's worn this year have sparked countless conversations.
But above all, while you might not take the particularly private star to be a risk-taker, the last 13 years have been filled with bold (and brave) red carpet choices that have since become iconic: remember her white crop top at the Pirates of the Caribbean premiere in 2003 or her Vera Wang gown and statement necklace at the Academy Awards in 2006? Those were the good old days...
