Naomi Campbell has shared a sweet tribute to her best friend and “Little Wagon” Kate Moss, to mark the supermodel’s 43rd birthday.
Taking to Instagram, Campbell, 46, shared a collage of pictures of her and Moss at various points (and parties) throughout their career.
“Sending you all best vibes and wishes,” she wrote in the caption.
“We have come a long way together and I cherish our bond, our honesty has kept us always there for each other.”
The supermodel also added the hashtag #southlondongirls as a nod to the pair’s early lives, with Campbell growing up in Streatham and Moss in Croydon.
The two have been firm friends for over 25 years, since meeting back in 1992 at a photoshoot in Los Angeles.
They later went on to be known as part of the “big six” nineties supermodel crowd, alongside Christy Turlington, Linda Evangelista, Cindy Crawford and Claudia Schiffer, and both still enjoy hugely successful modeling careers.
Back in 2014, Campbell wrote a dedication to Moss in the Evening Standard, in which she detailed the pair’s careers and friendship over the years.
Marking the milestone of Moss’ 40th birthday, Campbell wrote, “What’s Kate like? Well, she’s honest, loyal and straightforward. There’s no bullshit. She’s not pretentious in any way. What you see is what you get. I love that about her.
“We were like sisters. Kate was cool, stylish. She’d sometimes tell us how to dress - “You need to be a bit more funky and downbeat,” she’d say. On her advice I once wore Adidas sneakers with a Galliano dress, which in retrospect was an appalling faux pas.
“I realised that Kate Moss could get away with things that the rest of us couldn’t.”
