Hot on the heels (sorry) of the extension of his nude pump collection last year, Christian Louboutin has finally answered all our prayers and launched an accompanying collection of nude heels.

Each shoe in the diverse collection is available in the designer’s seven signature shades of nude, from porcelain to deep chocolate, and there are not one but two styles of heeled sandals to choose from (or, hey, just buy them both).

Announcing the collection on his Instagram page, which has almost 10 million followers, the designer wrote, “Pep rally! Christian Louboutin extends his groundbreaking Nudes collection with the introduction of two new summer-ready styles, each available in a full spectrum of seven shades of nude.”

He shared the caption with the following image of seven models wearing each shade of shoe, below:

The two new styles of sandals are called the Cherrysandal and the Christeriva (below), and both come ready with the designer’s signature red soles.

The Cherrysandal sports a chunky platform and ankle strap detail, while the Christeriva is a more delicate ballet-inspired heel with grosgrain ribbon straps.

The collection marks a welcome step towards diversifying the fashion industry, which has recently been making a move to be more inclusive of all races and body types.

And the announcement certainly went down a storm with fans last night, who commented in their thousands on the images shared on Instagram.

“I love everything about this #diversity,” wrote one user.

“This is the best idea of the century,” added another.

Even better, you don’t have to wait to get your hands on the beauties, as the collection is available to shop in the UK now.

Click here to shop the Cherrysandal, which retails at £635, and here to shop the Christeriva, which retails at £595.
