They may have a reputation for diva demands and catwalk strops, but few supermodels shy away from charity work – from Naomi Campbell’s work for the White Ribbon Alliance, to Natalia Vodianova’s Naked Heart Foundation.
Which is why top model agency Storm has enlisted its A-List girls for a most worthy cause - a charity auction of signed supermodel magazine covers. From Carla Bruni covering Vogue before she was Mme Sarkozy, to Stylist’s very own cover girl Alek Wek on L’Officiel, plus a guest appearance from Emma Watson, these framed images each come with a hand-written message from their cover star. Here are a few of our favourite covers on auction:
ABOVE AND BELOW: Alek Wek on french fashion magazine L'Officiel, and Kate Moss on British Vogue.
ABOVE AND BELOW: Jourdan Dunn does the wink for i-D, and Carla Bruni looks fresh-faced on Vogue.
ABOVE AND BELOW: Lily Cole on Vanidad, and Emma Watson shows off her gamine cut on British Vogue.
ABOVE AND BELOW: Coco Rocha on the Saturday Telegraph magazine, and Eva Herzigova on Harper's Bazaar.
ABOVE AND BELOW: Liberty Ross works an androgynous look on View magazine, and Lily Donaldson works colour-blocking on the cover of Muse.
All proceeds from the auction will go to the Rainbow Trust Children's Charity, which provides emotional and practical support to families who have a child with a life threatening or terminal illness. The auction will be hosted on Ebay over ten days starting from the 23 November , so get bidding (and take a look at all the covers here), if you’d like to see a supermodel on your wall.
