2018 has been quite a year, and we’re here to remind you of all the most memorable fashion moments. From Meghan Markle’s wedding dress, to Michelle Obama’s most recent outing in thigh high gold Balenciaga boots–these are the outfits we’ll never forget, from some of the most iconic women around the world.

Meghan Markle’s wedding dress

When: 19 May

Where: St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle.

Outfit: The most anticipated wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle did not disappoint. The now Duchess of Sussex wore a Haute Couture Givenchy boat-neck gown designed by Clare Waight Keller. Complete with Queen Mary’s tiara, and a 5-metre-long veil hand embroidered with flowers of each of the 53 Commonwealth countries–it was everything we expected, and then some.

Rachel McAdams in Girls Girls Girls magazine

When: 18 December

Where: Los Angeles.

Outfit: The actress, Rachel McAdams basically broke the internet with her latest cover shoot for Girls. Girls. Girls. Magazine. Wearing a Versace jacket and trousers and adorned in Bulgari jewels, the multi-tasking mum is shown breast pumping in an incredible image that has made women everywhere rejoice. Round of applause for Rachel and photographer, Claire Rothstein.

Rihanna at the Met Gala

When: 7 May

Where: Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York.

Outfit: Rihanna always wins on the wow front each year at the Met Gala, and this year was no different. The theme was “Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination” so naturally RiRi went as a high fashion Pope. The jewel and pearl encrusted creation was by Maison Margiela and of course she stole the show in the best way possible.

Jennifer Lawrence at the Oscars

When: 4 July

Where: Place Vendôme, Paris.

Outfit: We all love J Law and want to be her best friend, and what makes us love her even more is her incredible custom Dior gown she wore to this year’s Oscars. The embellished beauty looked amazing with tousled hair and a smokey eye. Effortless as ever, Jennifer.

Kaia Gerber in Haute Couture Valentino

When: 4 March

Where: Dolby Theatre, Los Angeles.

Outfit: With a mum like supermodel Cindy Crawford, it’s no surprise Kaia Gerber, 17, is following in her mum’s fashionable footsteps. The newly named “model of the year” walked the Valentino Haute Couture fall/winter 2018 show earlier in the year in a full feather adorned dress. The creation by Pierpaolo Piccioli was made from 1350 metres of fabric and was topped off with a giant backcombed do.

Priyanka Chopra’s wedding dress

When: 30 November to 2 December

Where: Taj Umaid Bhawan Palace in, Jodhpur.

Outfit: The actress and singer Priyanka married Nick Jonas, and as you can imagine the wedding was one to remember. The three day ceremony in India consisted of both an Indian and Western ceremony, and the now Mrs Priyanka Chopra Jonas’ dress went viral when she posted a picture on Instagram. She wore a custom Ralph Lauren gown complete with 75 foot train. The ensemble reportedly took 1,826 hours to create, with over 2,380,000 mother of pearl sequins being used. Wow, just wow.

Beyoncé on tour

When: 6 June - 4 October

Where: Worldwide.

Outfit: When Beyoncé and Jay Z announced their “On The Run II” tour dates the world had a slight meltdown. In true Queen B style of course the shows came with an entourage of impressive outfits, but there’s one main one we’ll all remember–top-to-toe leopard print. That’s one way to show off one of this season’s biggest trends, Bey.

Michelle Obama in Balenciaga

Where: Brooklyn.

Outfit: The former First Lady, Michelle Obama has been wearing some incredible outfits lately and her most recent is one of our favourites. On tour for her new book, Michelle went to chat with fellow fashion icon Sarah-Jessica Parker and she definitely made an entrance. Dressed top-to-toe in Balenciaga, Mrs Obama teamed a yellow dress with thigh high £2,935 iridescent gold boots. We’re big fans of her new wardrobe and this has to be the best way to end 2018!

Kate Middleton at the BAFTAs

Where: The Royal Albert Hall, London.

Outfit: The then pregnant Duchess of Cambridge went to the BAFTA TV awards in a green Jenny Packham dress. She made a subtle nod to the all black dress code for the #MeToo movement with a black belt and clutch bag. We love how Kate Middleton supports British designers at major events.

Meghan Markle at The Fashion Awards
