Get your front row seat here…
It’s that time of year again, the one where influencers, buyers and press congregate at the four corners of the fashion world for the extravaganza that is the international shows.
Kicking off in New York on Thursday 7 February, the fashion weeks promise excitement, newness (the occasional drama) and plenty of inspiration for your coming wardrobe. Historically, they have been a pretty exclusive event, with even editors themselves scrambling for tickets to the top shows and those prized front row seats. This year, though, London Fashion Week is taking a more democratic approach and opening their doors to public by way of various events and activations.
For those who have always wanted a glimpse inside the spectacle of London Fashion Week, here’s how to get involved.
London Fashion Week Insider
In years past, the London Fashion Week Festival has always been held after the main event, but this year the British Fashion Council is opening the doors to a new event the same weekend of London Fashion Week. And it’s rebranding itself as London Fashion Week: Insiders.
What this really means is that you will be in the hubbub of fashion week IRL and have access to the runway shows like Osman and Fyodor Golan, as well as access to talks from industry experts, exclusive shopping opportunities and more Instagram moments than you could imagine.
A big bonus for those buying these tickets is access to the Mother of Pearl x BBC Earth Project talks. A firm industry favourite and sustainable fashion designer, Amy Powney of Mother of Pearl has partnered with BBC earth and the British Fashion Council to bring an innovative series of talks to attendees.
The talks will focus on the impact of the industry on the earth, as well as highlight positive opportunities to create a more sustainable industry and more mindful consumption of fashion.
Ticket packages for London Fashion Week Insider start from £135. Shop them here.
