Once the mainstay of society belles' wardrobes, Haute Couture's dream-like gowns are now just as likely to be seen on the red carpet, making Couture Week a sneak preview of who'll be wearing what come awards season. In one of the most wearable Couture Weeks yet, we take a look at the key gowns from the shows - and who we'd like to see wearing them on the red carpet.

Best of Couture Week: Alexandre Vauthier
Alexandre Vauthier's leg-revealing, jewel-encrusted dress reminds us of Beyonce's Glastonbury look - we could see her wearing this on tour.
Best of Couture Week: Atelier Versace
Versace know how to do revealing, super-glamorous red carpet gowns. With a thigh-high split Angelina Jolie's right leg would be proud of, we could see Versace fan Freida Pinto looking great in this dress.
Best of Couture Week: Frank Sorbier
This incredible dress was shown like a blank canvas, with different light patterns projecting on top. Not sure a red carpet anywhere would be able to accommodate this (maybe Katy Perry would dare to try it out?), but we were blown away by Sorbier's creation.
Best of Couture Week: Alexis Mabille
This quirky bow tie black dress by Alexis Mabille would look cute on Michelle Williams or Audrey Tatou.
Best of Couture Week: Elie Saab
Elie Saab's red carpet dresses were made for the red carpet - this lacey, floaty number reminds us of Florence Welch's typical red carpet look.
Best of Couture Week: Worth
The father of British couture, Charles Worth's label has been resurrected - we could see this bold coat dress on a fashion maverick like Tilda Swinton.
Best of Couture: Jean-Paul Gaultier
Jean-Paul Gaultier's show was a fun take on flapper-era glamour. In our dream world, Carey Mulligan would wear this to The Great Gatsby premiere.
Best of Couture Week: Chanel
A very Karl-esque look, with fingerless gloves and sharp tailoring, this tweedy, androgynous ensemble is perfect for Alexa Chung.
Best of Couture Week: Chanel
A slightly grungier look for Couture, we could see Brit models Pixie Geldof or Cara Delevigne wearing this (beanie optional!).
Best of Couture Week: Dior
Raf Simon's Dior show was the talk of Couture week, and this dress is perfect blend of subversive and chic. Emma Watson would look amazing in this (minus the sheer top!).
Best of Couture Week: Dior
Simple, sweet and chic - this pale pink dress is right up Jessica Chastain's street.
Best of Couture Week: Giambattista Valli
Emma Stone has worn Giambattista Valli on the red carpet several times - we could totally see her pulling off this floral creation.
Best of Couture Week: Stephane Rolland
Stephane Rolland's couture dresses are high-octane glamour and emphasize curves. We think this maroon dress would look amazing on Eva Mendes.
Best of Couture Week: Valentino
Featuring brocade, embellishment and sheer lace, Valentino's dresses were romantic and girly. Keira Knightley or Elle Fanning would wear this dress with aplomb.
Best of Couture Week: Armani Prive
Another mainstay of the red carpet, Armani Prive gowns are classically elegant. Take away the head-dress, and we could see Angelina in this come awards season.
