When two British giants like Damien Hirst and Alexander McQueen collide we know it's going to be beautiful. Here is a first look at their exclusive scarf collection, which celebrates the 10th anniversary of the iconic Alexander McQueen skull scarf, a signature accessory of the house since its spring/summer 2003 Irere collection.
Consisting of 30 one-off scarves, the designs are adapted from Hirst’s 'Entomology' series, where butterflies, bugs and spiders form kaleidoscopic geometric shapes. The artist's style has been reworked to recreate the McQueen skull motif.
As both names are incidentally synonymous with iconic skulls (Damien Hirst's platinum and diamond-encrusted skull titled 'For the Love of God') this pairing is a match made in design heaven.
And if there's one thing that will get us waiting in queues and rapidly hitting the purchase button, it's a good collaboration...
