The revolutionary e-commerce platform, The Modist, has launched their first in-house line that ticks all the ‘must-have’ boxes.

There are so many online shopping platforms now that it’s easy to just click to your default site. It’s familiar, it’s easy to navigate and even if it doesn’t have exactly what you want, it will have something near enough. But is that the best way to shop for you?

Having launched on International Women’s Day last year, new shopping platform The Modist (pronounced ‘mode-ist’) is a one-stop luxury shop for women interested in modest dressing without compromising on style. The Modist is cleverly closing the gap in the market by curating designer collections to suit their customers, as well as working with designers and brands on exclusive pieces in longer lengths, adapting the sleeves and altering fabrications.

Within a year, The Modist has sky-rocketed, changing the way women shop and the pieces available. The site now stocks more than 120 brands from Bella Freud to Rejina Pyo and today they have launched their very own brand, Layeur – created in demand from their customers for fashionable, modest pieces for every woman.

“We believe that a multitude of layers make up who you are. They tell your story and, with the launch of Layeur, a luxury label dedicated to creating must-have pieces for the modern, modest dresser, we want to celebrate that,” says CEO and founder, Ghizlan Guenez. “We really listened to our customers, considering their needs and desires when approaching design, from the opacity, weight and cut of the fabric, ensuring women get the coverage they need while also [ensuring] the fashion and comfort fuels how they feel.”

The collection includes long-line silk dresses, jogger-style trousers and pussybow blouses – easy additions into any wardrobe that can be dressed up or down. And unlike many of the designers stocked on the site, the sizing also aims to be inclusive ranging from 6 to 24.
