Burberry unveils spring/summer 2012 campaign stars - Cara Delevingne and Eddie Redmayne

Over the last few years Burberry, under the leadership of Chief Creative Officer Christopher Bailey, has become known for championing the most exciting new British talent, from models and actors to musicians. Each season their ad campaigns are regarded as an accurate predictor of who’s going to be the next big thing and for spring summer 2012 they’re backing actor Eddie Redmayne and model Cara Delevingne.

Eddie is becoming a red carpet regular, having just appeared alongside Michelle Williams in My Week with Marilyn and in several historical films (The Other Boleyn Girl, Black Death, Elizabeth I) and his next project is a large scale production of Les Miserables. As well as being one of the hottest models around right now (she opened the Burberry show at LFW), Cara is moving into acting with a role in Anna Karenina.

Burberry is one of the big design houses that has actively embraced the internet as a medium for sharing the brand’s vision with the world; at the spring summer 2012 catwalk show in London back in September, followers on Twitter actually saw the models in their outfits before they hit the catwalk and the shows have been live streamed on the internet for a few seasons. The full Burberry Prorsum spring summer 2012 campaign will launch across all Burberry platforms, from their Facebook page and Instagram to their stores across the globe from January 4.
