With renowned designers and music icons joining forces with high-street brands this autumn, there’s never been a better time to go shopping
When news arrived that JW Anderson, one of the UK’s most exciting designers, and high-street favourite Uniqlo were teaming up, the excitement reached fever pitch at Stylist. Because we’re spoilt for choice this season with numerous fashion collaborations between covetable brands, new designers and music stars.
With 33 men’s and womenswear pieces even Anderson is coveting his range. “I’ve told Uniqlo that I have to have one of each piece,” he confessed to Stylist at the collection’s launch. “When someone calls from one of your favourite brands in the world, it’s difficult to say no. I wear Uniqlo on a daily basis so I was like, ‘I’m going to design clothes for myself’.”
The collection nods to the new season’s heritage trend with tartan featured on puffa jackets, padded bags and a reversible trench. “When I think of Britain, I think
of picnic blankets on Hampstead Heath,” Anderson explains. Other statement pieces include rainbow-striped knitwear, hooded duffel coats and ruffled skirts.
We’ll see you in the queue.
Uniqlo x JW Anderson is online and in store from 19 September. Click here to shop.
