With dad fashion on the rise, the anorak is the latest item of clothing to get an overhaul into must-have item
If your current situation consists of snacking on Easter egg scraps, regret for incessant drinking three days straight and exhaustion, despite four days of supposed rest, we have the cure for you – a brand, spanking-new… anorak. Lower those raised eyebrows, this is not a delayed April Fool’s joke.
Thanks to a hefty dose of functional fashion on the s/s 2018 catwalks, the humble anorak is no longer reserved for country walks and sensible parents. With a high fashion do-over, the anorak is now ‘a thing’. Valentino gave us traditional wind breakers in muted tones, Mary Katrantzou presented a bright, long-line version, occasionally with bubble hems, and the street was (and continues to be) awash with dad-looking practicality.
Your morning dilemma of fashion versus function (when the innevitable April showers hit), is finally over. Here are five of the best to shop now.
