If there’s one thing we know about Topshop, it’s that they are total jean genies. In fact, over the past 12 months, the retailer has sold one pair of their iconic skinny jeans every 10 seconds – which is probably less time than it took you to read up until this point.
However, while people have always been gaga for the high street store’s Joni (super high-waisted skinny) jeans, there was always… well, there was always one crucial detail missing.
Now, that’s all about to change.
That’s right, your denim-related prayers have finally been answered: belt loops are coming.
And, as ever, the people of Twitter have a lot to say about it:
According to The Tab, there is no official release date on these blessed jeans – and it remains to be seen whether or not we will be getting belt loops on a variety of coloured denims.
“The warehouse staff weren’t sure whether they’re going to be released in colours other than black,” they share.
At the moment, though, it’s worth noting that there is a pair of super-ripped mid-blue Jonis (with belt loops, obviously) available on the Topshop website for £40.
So that’s black and blue to kick things off, at the very least. Roll on a winter filled with possibilities: jeans with belts, jeans with silk scarves threaded through the loops, jeans with a decorative chain weaved along the waitsline…
You do you, Joni lovers of the world. We’ll see you at the checkouts.
