…and you’re going to want them all.
Naturally, vegan fashion has a little bit of an (ironicaly) ‘beige’ stigma around it. Yes, it’s great for the environment but stylish? The verdict had long been out.
2018 saw the rise of vegan footwear with specialist brands like the ever-popular Veja and All Birds giving the people what they finally wanted: style and substance. But what happened when you needed something beyond a functional trainer? Sure, if your pockets lend themselves to it, Stella McCartney will always have your accessories covered, but as far as the high street was concerned there was very little on offer.
That was until today. Rejoice, for high street favourite, Topshop, has launched a 12-piece collection of vegan shoes. Crafted in Spain and comprising of tan sculptural low heeled sandals, chunky croc effect everyday options and snakeskin pointed mules, Topshop is reinventing the notion of vegan fashion.
Topshop’s Fashion Director, Maddy Evans: “We are really excited to be launching our first vegan collection this April. Initially we’re focusing on footwear and introducing six new styles that are produced alongside our premium shoe lines in Spain. We can’t wait to see how shoppers respond to the design-led collection and how far we can push vegan products across our accessories offering.”
