Victoria Beckham just confirmed what we’ve always hoped to be true: that she is still a Spice Girl at heart.
The former Posh Spice and internationally acclaimed fashion designer opted to stay true to her roots in an advert for her upcoming Target collection, selecting a Spice Girls song for the theme music.
And she couldn't have picked a more classic song, opting for Spice Up Your Life, which shot straight to the top of the charts when it was released in October 1997 and made the band the first ever act to have its first five singles reach the number one spot in the UK.
The 42-year-old shared a clip of the advert, which features models and children dancing to the tune, on her Instagram page last night (below), where it has so far racked up over 362,000 views.
It didn’t take long for Spice fans to clock the theme music, with excited Instagram users commenting on the clip. One wrote, “So glad you still have your inner Spice Girl in you! #Vivalaposh” while another added, “This Spice Girls track is everything”.
The upcoming collection, which is due to launch in the US on 9 April, features over 200 pieces affordably priced from $6 (£4.90) to $70 (£57.12).

It also marks the designer’s first venture into kidswear, with the collection featuring items for both adults and children.
Brilliantly, VB isn’t the only Spice Girl currently giving a nod to the band.
Earlier this week, Comic Relief released a video of Emma Bunton pranking customers at Heathrow airport by pretending to be a customer service representative with a penchant for using Spice Girls lyrics in her speech.
