In need of some last minute inspiration for your Winter 2016 wardrobe?
There’s still time to rock the five hottest trends on the high street - as seen on our Stylist Catwalk supported by Swarovski at Stylist Live last month.
Trend #1: Spice World
Warm up your winter wardrobe with the trend that’s all about spicy shades of cinnamon, paprika and cardamom. The key is to wear tonal shades in one look, so pair a simple spicy jumper with a similar shade skirt or a spicy dress over a matching skinny roll neck with boots.

Trend #2: The Navy Coat
This is the piece that was everywhere at the AW16 designer runway shows. Choose a classic well cut woollen style with a touch of naval influence that will update your look this season and many more to come. Wear over a white shirt and with wide leg trousers or choose a collarless style to make any outfit look sleek.

Trend #3: Sportswear
It’s now totally OK to wear a slouchy sports look out of the gym! Just make sure you style these off duty pieces in surprising ways. Think hoop zip details on jackets and side-stripe pants with an unexpected silk cami or heel to add some glamour.
Trend #4: Velvet Goldmine
It’s the party season’s favourite material, but this time round it’s taking a new twist. Velvet’s bold new side is all about breaking the rules and wearing it in the day. Dramatic frills, velvet puffas and more casual styles provide the most modern of surprising spins.
Trend #5: Intergalactic
Star motifs, silver shoes and shimmer on <everything>. A bit of sparkle is something the high street do brilliantly and this season is no exception. Stars echo the designer catwalk’s cosmic influence. A pleated metallic midi skirt or ruffle trimmed star-embroidered blouse are quick ways to work the look.
