When Beyoncé and Alexa Chung wear new sunglasses shapes, you know they’re going to be big news…
The sun is out, our summer dresses are on and now we need sunglasses to complete the look. Oh, and to protect us from harmful UV rays, of course.
Shortly after bringing you the best shades to suit all face shapes (every single pair of which rings it at under £100 shades), we’ve decided it’s time to show you the sunglasses that the A-listers have been wearing out and about. And it’s certainly an eclectic mix…
While Kate Middleton (aka the Duchess of Cambridge) sticks to her favourite classic Ray-Bans, supermodel Naomi Campbell has been putting her best fashion foot forward in fierce cat-eyes. Then there’s Priyanka Chopra and Alexa Chung, both of whom have been working some seriously retro 90s oval and rectangle frames.
Although it’s tempting to go for trend-led sunglasses (like the super skinny shades that barely covered pupils last year) it’s better to go for styles that suit you. With the resurgence of more wearable over-sized and aviator pairs that have already been approved by Beyoncé, investing in the right ones has been made easier with the help of some of our favourite stars.
Continue to see the eight sunglasses that the A-listers are backing this summer.

Olivia Palermo
Zimmermann juno D-frame acetate sunglasses
Olivia Palermo never fails in the fashion department: in fact, we often look to OP’s Instagram for outfit inspo. This time around, though, it’s her sunglasses we’re coveting, as that cream Zimmermann pair will look just as good with a fancy frock as they will with jeans, a T-shirt and trainers.
Zimmermann, £200
